The practice of diagnostic sonography is an extremely important instrument in both gynecological and obstetrical care. At Advanced we are pleased to be able to offer state-of-the-art sonographic evaluations. Most studies performed in our offices involve careful evaluation with traditional two-dimensional ultrasound. Three and four-dimensional ultrasound are incorporated into examinations on a case by case basis to enhance the diagnostic quality of the study. Our sonographers take pride in explaining the procedures being performed and answering their patient’s questions, within the purview of their area of expertise. In addition, communication with our physicians is of the utmost importance and patients can feel confident that all studies and findings will be promptly reviewed.
By becoming an AIUM (American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine)-accredited facility in both Obstetric and Gynecologic Ultrasound, our practice has shown a commitment to providing patients with the highest quality care. AIUM ultrasound practice accreditation indicates that our practice meets or exceeds nationally recognized standards. This peer review process assesses the qualifications of our personnel, the steps we take to promote patient safety, the maintenance of our ultrasound machines, and most importantly, the quality of the sonograms we perform.
The ACR awards accreditation to facilities for the achievement of high practice standards after a peer-review evaluation of its practice. Image quality and procedure evaluations are conducted by board-certified radiologists and medical physicists who are experts in the field.
The program also evaluates personnel qualifications, adequacy of facility equipment, quality control procedures and quality assurance programs. When you choose an ACR-accredited facility, you know that:
